With our growth and network expansion we need help. We’re a small, social enterprise run by volunteers. Based in Merrow we are rolling out a new fibre broadband network in the Surrey Hills.
Are you someone who likes talking to people and has good attention to detail? If you are somebody with competent DIY skills, then we’d love to hear from you!
You’ll be visiting homeowners; discussing their broadband needs, advising on the route for duct across their garden and discussing where and how to fix the fibre termination boxes, that you will be installing.
You will be involved with the blowing of fibre using specialist equipment which is quite straightforward and on which training will be given. For this task you would be working as part of an experienced team.
We are looking for someone with the aspiration to develop their managerial capabilities as we continue to grow.
No working at height. Travel expenses paid.
Requirements:
- It is essential that you can drive to rural locations
- Competent DIY skills
- A good communicator, a good listener, can understand and respond to homeowner questions and concerns.
- Basic understanding of broadband
- Is a good team-player
- Ideally someone local or able to commute easily to The Surrey Hills
- Have Public Liability Insurance £1m
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
- Freelance
- Hours to be agreed mutually and as required
